This blog post is definitely inspired by the Peruvian side of me. At times I dress a little like my mother with lots of gold jewelry, fitted skirts, and blouses perfect for wearing out on the dance floor. The floral crop top with tassels along the edge reminds me of the top my mother wore while mimicking dance moves from her favorite music videos. I remember watching her as a little girl taking breaks between cleaning the house and singing to her favorite songs. She’d practice the hottest dance moves and routines to stay in shape and to forget her worries by having fun as she tended to her weekly chores. There was an instant nostalgic attachment to this sheer piece, I wanted to find multiple ways to wear this. I could imagine wearing it with a pair of cut up shorts or a light-weight, embroidered a-line skirt, but settled for a classier look to wear in the city. The high slight stretchy skirt is sexy, elegant, and comfortable. My first thought was to pair it with a slouchy crop sweater tied to the side and wedge booties but felt that it could look stunning dressed up with the floral blouse.
