Still Loving Pink

Can we just talk about the bag? Looks like a Mexican luchador, it was such a fun item and not something at all you would think of to pair with a satin pink dress by Lanvin. Its small size has some sass with the fierce leopard print batwings and chain crossover. Then paired with the snake studded heels by Gucci, it just completed the look I was trying to go for. I didn’t want to go do delicate accessories with the dress because it does look very Grecian, I wanted to accessorize it the complete opposite of what you’d expect from a dress like this, it could really go both ways.

The Lanvin dress is not my usual style but it’s the color that got me. Pink has always been my favorite color, it’s very feminine, fun and reminds me of cupcakes with sprinkles. It has a way of making me smile and just feeling good. I’m going to be turning 30 in a couple months and it’s crazy to think that there are some things that haven’t changed about who I am including:

  1. Taking power naps for extra energy (I’m a pro napper)
  2. Eating my leftovers as I drive home in my car
  3. Finding something sweet to eat after dinner
  4. Journaling in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep
  5. Dancing by myself when no one around me wants to join
  6. Getting a natural high from running
  7. I never get bored from playing with clothes all day

and so much more!

As I enter this new decade I’m trying to also embrace all of the changes I’ve had to go through recently, changes I’ve purposely made in my life to get to the next level of developing who I am and where I want to be. Let me say, it hasn’t been easy and there have been moments that the uncomfortable and unknown were almost too much. My mind and willpower were stronger than the temptations of going back.

As I embrace the last couple months of my 20s I’m also reflecting on what I’ve learned and where I want to go next. I feel a future blog post coming soon about this topic!

What would you say were your biggest lessons in your 20s? Share them with me #lessonsinmy20s

  1. That dress looks fabulous on you and I can tell you that I’m now 31 and OI’m still loving pink too! I think the biggest lesson I learned in my 20’s was to bbe careful of being too trusting (as sucky as that sounds) but it leads to being happier in the long run to be cautious.
